Seminar 24th Nov 2020

Dear Ghent Group member:

It has been a long time since the last time we were able to meet in person. Unfortunately, we still do not know how long the travel limitations will last. For this reason, some of us at the Ghent Group have thought that it would be a good idea to develop a series of webinars on topics which we believe is worth discussing.

We have created an ad-hoc scientific committee to develop this idea (Pamela Taylor, Alfredo Calcedo, Harry Kennedy and Mary Davoren). After having had several contacts we are happy to inform you about our first webinar that will take place on November 24. 18:00 London time. We estimate that the session will last one hour. Immediately following the seminar, we suggest a discussion of up to 30 minutes with the rest of the Group about how we could develop this project in the future.

The meeting will be through the Zoom platform. Assuming that all of you have a properly configured device, everybody will be able to participate through chat, audio and video. Although we shall establish some limitations to avoid background noise interfering with the session.

As we have done in the past, you are welcome to invite colleagues to attend our meeting but, please, while doing so, be careful to invite people with an adequate professional background and experience. This meeting is oriented only to professionals of Forensic Psychiatry and related fields.

If you are interested in attending the meeting please go to this registration form and leave name, email and affiliation. We shall send the Zoom access link only to those people who have registered. Due to technical limitations we can have a maximum of 100 attendees. If the number of registered people exceeds this figure members of the Group will have priority.

We are not sure that we have an updated list, so if you think that some colleagues who have attended Ghent Group meetings, please, forward to them this email.

We all hope that you will find this activity interesting, and that it will be the starting point of a series of online activities in our Group.

Best wishes,

Alfredo, Pamela, Harry and Mary
